Description
Responsible for working directly with attorneys and support staff on our client cases. Assist in preparing for upcoming trials and hearings, gather related information, i.e. police reports, witness statements, medical records, client correspondence. Responsible for maintaining an index system for all case files.
Job Duties:
- Work on existing/new client cases
- Order, index and summarize medical records
- Maintain & organize client files
- Maintain an indexing and archiving system for ongoing and closed cases
- Draft correspondence to clients, attorneys, medical providers, etc.
- Draft discovery & responses
- Schedule depositions, meetings & case related pleadings
- Meet with clients
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, complaints, subpoenas, etc.
- Create reports as needed for attorneys based on case specifications
- File court pleadings/motions, etc.
- Manage trial dockets & court correspondence
- General administrative duties as filing, scheduling, answering phones, making travel arrangements, maintaining attorneys' calendars
Requirements
High school diploma is required. College degree helpful. Paralegal Certificate, preferred.
