Description
Small boutique law firm in Fox Chapel / O'Hare Township is looking for a motivated attorney with a minimum 0-5 years legal experience within the fields of Real Estate, Civil, and Criminal law background to grow our presence in Western PA. Our firm focuses our practice on landlord/tenant evictions, ejectments, partition actions, border disputes, as well as some limited criminal defense matters. Successful candidate shall maintain individual case files, meet daily with and field calls from clients or prospective clients, keep clients up to date on all pending matters, and maintain their daily calendar. Additionally, candidate must have strong research and writing skills and be able to draft complaints, briefs, motions, etc., in a timely manner. Attorney will be required to have reliable transportation and travel for work, including traveling throughout Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania. This position shall require weekly court appearances before the minor judiciary and the Court of Common Pleas. The position is for a full time associate attorney. Salary is commensurate with experience, additional benefits are provided including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance reimbursements, etc. Lastly, the firm does not mandate or require any minimum billing requirements!
Requirements
-Minimum 0-5 years legal experience in the field of Real Estate, Civil practice, and Criminal law;
-Successful candidate shall have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to readily communicate with clients on a regular basis;
-Every Candidate shall be able to use Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, Excel Spreadsheets, and maintain a daily online calendar for all client events;
-Attorney shall have a background in research and writing and be able to draft all requisite legal briefs, complaints, motions, etc. in a timely manner;
-Successful candidate shall be required to travel to all court locations including Magisterial District Court as well as the Court of Common Pleas and have reliable transportation and valid driver's license;
-Position shall require successful candidate to develop and create new client / business relationships;
-Attorney shall be licensed and in good standing within all courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
-Employer requires a cover letter, resume, two brief (recent) writing samples, and references.
